Welcome to Sanctity of Human Life month! So glad to be back! It has been a really long time since we have done any blogging or keeping you updated over here on our little corner of the internet. For that, I would like to apologize. I became a bit unhappy with our old site and let that affect my using of it. It had several unfriendly issues for us in the backend as well as for you, our adoring public and followers. I hope you were able to keep up with us over on our Facebook page…if you aren’t following us please do so here for Facebook. As you may have noticed, we have a brand new and improved user experience here on our web page. While we are very happy with it, we are still working some bugs out and would covet any feedback you might have for us. Please send any suggestions, errors you catch, or anything else we may have missed or you feel we could do better to personhoodiowa@outlook.com, for now.

As way of an update (and work around for not knowing how to do a pop up window 🙂 ), I am going to share a VERY busy week ahead here and how you can get involved. Please go and check out the event pages, get signed up for the events that you can attend, and then please help us spread the word by inviting your family, friends, and circles of influence.

• 1/10, 11-1 pm, Freedom Blend Coffee, Hippocratic Oath Lunch & Learn: Dr. Donna Harrison will be speaking to Medical Professionals and students to discuss the Oath and why, if it’s used anymore at all, it’s been altered over the years. • 1/12, 11-1pm, Families of Color Health Luncheon, Zion Lutheran Church (4300 Beaver Ave): Catherine Davis will be hosting this roundtable to discuss what is going on at the statehouse and how black & Hispanic women are targeted by the racist and eugenic policies of the abortion industry. This is a small, intimate invite only roundtable for influential pastors and leaders in these communities. All of this in addition to our Personhood Community Committee’s resuming after the new year and lots of updates and re-launches there:

• Personhood at the Fort, 1st Monday at 6:30 pm (except for holidays), Fort Des Moines Church of Christ, 244 E Army Post Road, DM, 50315. This month’s meeting will be on Monday, Jan. 8th.
• Personhood Beaverdale (formerly FFC), 1st Tuesday at 6:30 pm (except for holidays), NEW LOCATION: First Church of the Open Bible, 2200 Beaver Ave, DM, 50310. Please join us at our new location in Beaverdale, with our new leader, Nick.
• Personhood Newton, 3rd Tuesday at 7 pm (updates coming next week).
• Personhood NW Polk, Jan. 23rd at 6:30 pm (updates and set day coming soon).
• Personhood Sioux County, Special Launch event on January 25th with guest speaker, Steve Deace.
